Synopsis
- Manage timer policies on a BIG-IP system.

|   idle_timeout    string    |   Default: "unspecified"   |    Specifies an idle timeout, in seconds, for protocol and port pairs that match the timer policy rule.   |    Specifies the IP protocol entry for which the timer policy rule is being configured. This could be a layer-4 protocol (such as   tcp, udp or sctp.Only flows matching the configured protocol will make use of this rule.  When   all-other is specified, if there are no specific ip-protocol rules that match the flow, the flow matches all the other ip-protocol rules.When specifying rules, if this parameter is not specified, the default is   all-other. |  |

 - Requires BIG-IP software version >= 12.
 - The F5 modules only manipulate the running configuration of the F5 product. To ensure that BIG-IP specific configuration persists to disk, be sure to include at least one task that uses the f5networks.f5_modules.bigip_config module to save the running configuration. Refer to the module’s documentation for the correct usage of the module to save your running configuration.
